The Retiree Library Collection consists of materials – books (fiction and non-fiction), feature films, documentaries – that provide relevant information to our Skidmore community of retired employees. The collection was started with funding from an award from the American Council on Education and the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation.  The 2012 award recognized Skidmore College’s innovative practices in supporting faculty retirement. All items purchased with the award are integrated into the library’s main collection and are shelved according to format and subject matter.
