LIBARARY RESOURCE ACTIVITY

The purpose of this activity is to familiarize yourself with the techniques covered during the library resource presentation and the library’s HHPS 111 Course Guide.

Instructions

1. Search for a primary source journal article on the topic of cardiovascular health. This topic may include any specific aspects of cardiovascular health (i.e., diabetes and exercise, hypertension and diet, etc.)

2. Spend 10 minutes reading through the article, then spend 5 minutes typing a 1-2 sentence paragraph(s) summarizing the article / topic (i.e., quick summary).

3. Add a “Reference” section at the end of your summary that appropriately cites the journal article in APS format, as outlined in the HHPS Lab Formatting Guide. Be sure to include proper in-text citations in your summary.
