Where's My Book?

Gender Studies is an interdisciplinary field, and as such, relevant materials are scattered throughout the Library of Congress (LC) call number scheme. For instance, feminism is classified in HQ1101 to HQ2030, and this area contains material central to the field. However, most LC classes also contain relevant works depending on the emphasis of research. The following are some pertinent classifications:

HQ 12-449 Sexual life
     HQ 74  Bisexuality
     HQ 75 - 76.8  Homosexuality. Lesbianism
     HQ 77 - 77.2  Transvestism
     HQ 77.7 - 77.95  Transexualism

      HQ 101 - 440.7  Prostitution

HQ 1075-1075.5  Sex Role
HQ 1088-1090.7  Men
HQ 1101-2030  Women. Feminism

If you're searching for a particular book, check the catalog.
