Finding Artists' Books

To find artists’ books in the Scribner Library, type in the phrase “Artists books” in the Library Catalog.

If you are looking for an artist book by a specific artist, go to the Advanced Search and type in the artist’s name under Author and then type in “artists’ books” under Subject.

All artists’ books have the LC (Library of Congress) subject heading: Artists’ books.


The Artists’ Book Collection is part of the Rare Books Collection,
which is located in Special Collections on the 3rd floor.

There are over 450 artists’ books in the collection. 150 of them can be viewed online in the
Library's Digital Collections.
